Challenge #159 - Recycle It and a GDT CALL!

As Sunday rolls around once again we have another new challenge for you all.
Not many of you liked the color challenge last week but we are sure you will love the challenge this week!

Challenge #159 -  Recycle It!
This week we want to see you save something that was once headed to the trash can.  Can you also please mention in your post what it is that you very fortunately and green thumb-ly saved from becoming land fill.

We also are putting out a Guest Design Team Call!
Open with this challenge only.
As a guest, we ask that you play along with both our teams every week, for 4 weeks.
And help us to share the love with commenting on 2 entry numbers.
We are taking applications for the next coming 4 months so please do not feel discouraged to apply, the more the merrier we think here at TCP and we would love to have you gorgeously talented folks along for the ride!
If you would like to join us, please add GDT to your entry name when you play along with us this week :)

Once again, the very lovely
has sponsored us this week!
For one lucky random winner, they will be receiving a
£10 voucher to spend in the online store!
Thank you very much Joanna Sheen

Now it is time to hang onto your hats! The DT are going to blow you away with their inspiration for you all this week! They really have outdone themselves and gone above and beyond the call of duty with their imagination and recycled bits and pieces.

Deonne, our GDT is joining us again this week :)
She craftyingly rescued lots of stuff this week for her piece - A toilet paper roll, egg shells-colored with Copic markers and a piece of cardboard which was a fitness flyer that she recycled for the flower, leaves and sentiment base! WOW!

Dawn took up the challenge by using part of a box her hubbys new shirt came in! The card, the image & ticket were printed on scraps from her scrap box & has a dp printed on the other side!  The beanstalk layer was once part of a room spray box, and the button was recycled from a jacket.  Well done Dawn! This card looks amazing!

And I (Leesa aka The Navy Wife) scavenged around and went head on by recycling the dress made from crape paper from one of the kids birthday parties. All the matting on this and what I printed the images onto is all book covers and old manilla folders from Dylans' books and school stuff last year that I just distressed with my inks.  And the ribbon on the skirt waist came from a birthday pressie wrapping.
Images used - The Crafty Pad Designs - Dress Form Trio and Sewing Machine and Elements Set both available from HERE

Wow Girls! Amazing works this week!

We will see all you fabulous folks Thursday for the posting of the
Top 5 and winners from last weeks Blue, Red & Green challenge.
And the exciting launch of our additional side challenge
and 1st
Monthly Crafty Pad Showcase Challenge!

Want to know more on this new side challenge ???
Both the regular Sunday Challenge rules
and the new additional monthly challenge rules
can be found together HERE.  :))
(The rules for the regular Sunday Challenge are all still the same)
Rules do apply however for the additional Monthly Challenge so please do take the time to read them over. We would be sad to have to disqualify anyone for not following the rules :(

Good Luck everyone and we look forward to seeing what you all save this week in the Recycle It challenge.

Lovely challenge, my recycled item, is the butterfly. It was stuck to some tissue paper that covers a pressy from another blogger...the tissue paper was too small to keep so I threw it in the bin but then rescued the butterfly complete with tiny gem, which has been stuck on my craft room wall for about a year! was blue I've coloured it a dark red.

Thank you for the challenge and the chance for the guest design team. I was in such a hurry to link up my card I forgot to put QDT after my name. Thanks again.

Great cards by the DT and thanks for a fab challenge - just the "ticket" (!) for me as I used 2 old clothes tickets that had been sat around a while. Thanks also for the chance to be a GDT member ... hope I get lucky! Helen x
