TWO WEEK COMPETITION.

Please click HERE for this weeks current challenge.

EXTENDED UNTIL TUESDAY 15th NOVEMBER.

Hi everybody and welcome to the midweek post again. This week though, it's going to run for 2 weeks as we are holding another competition for you.

The theme is a wall hanging and stitching/fabric etc. Now, don't panic.....you don't have to actually make a wall hanging, but whatever you make, it must be something that you'd be proud to hang on your wall. Your project MUST include some stitching and some fabric too (ribbon counts). Real or faux, but it must be there somewhere.

We are sponsored in this competition by the wonderful CRAFTY RIBBONS,

If you've never visited this shop, then you really must. There are ribbons in the hundreds, all sorts of sizes, colours and designs and many of the ribbons are exclusive so you will not find them anywhere else. Pop on over and have a look, you won't regret it.

The prize for our winner is this fabulous selection of new release ribbons and buttons.

Also, Debbie from THE CRAFTY PAD DESIGNS

is giving the winner her Sewing Machine complete set of images and also the fabulous trio of dress forms. So, two great prizes on offer to the winner.

Ali who owns Crafty Ribbons, Diane and myself have each made a project using these ribbons and Debbie's sewing images to help you with some ideas.

Ali made this gorgeous wall hanging. I love the way the ribbon is 'loose' within it and the large rosette really sets it all off. Backed with a sewing pattern and one of Debbie's dress forms, it really is all about sewing.

Diane made her own picture frame and covered it using the ribbons and a selection of the sewing images.

I used 3 canvases to make my wall hanging. I changed the colour of my ribbons by using my Promarkers and Distress inks. I also darkened some of the buttons down with my Promarkers too.

So, we hope they've given you some inspiration and that lots of you join in. The competition will run for two weeks and will close at 8.00pm UK TIME ON TUESDAY 8TH NOVEMBER. The winner will be announced at noon on Friday 11th November. Good luck everybody and we look forward to seeing all your scrummy projects.

I have just received an email entry for the competition from Joani - thank you Joani you creation is gorgeous and is such a great idea - would make a lovely gift. :)
