Tutorial for 'In The Spotlight' by Maggie

 Maggie's fabby '
in the spotlight' tutorial.......

Below is a tutorial for 'In the spotlight' technique I found in Craft Stamper magazine.

You'll need Promarkers, flower punches (I used Tonic flower punches), 2 images printed on white cardstock, black cardstock, cutting dies (I used label and scalloped circle), some gems, 3D foam pads and white paper thread or string.

Below is a photo of Promarkers you need. (Black, Crimson, Ice Grey 4, Cool Grey 3 and Ice Grey 1)

Die cut your image. You'll also need two pieces of black cardstock to make the card base.

Die cut 3 pieces from the second image.

Below is a photo off all components including punched out flowers.

Trace the edges with black Promarker to make them defined.

Colour in die cuts only. First use Ice Grey 4.

Then Cool Grey 3 blending the two colours together.

Next Ice Grey 1, blending again.

Repeat on all 3 die cuts.

Next colour in Happy Birthday (in black) and hats (in red)

Use some 3D foam pads and stick the die cuts to the image.

Score one of the black die cuts and fold in half.

Punch some holes and tie the card base together.

Stick some 3D pads to the scored top black die cut shape.

Stick the image as in the photo.

Add a 'stopper' - I made this one from some scrap cardstock stamped with swirls stamp. Stick some flowers to the top of the card, use a button (I've used a button made from shrink plastic) as an embellishment and use some glitter glue to add some sparkle.
