Right - on with the fabulous inspiration from the wonderfully talented DT and GDT girls. :) :)

Sylvia - has made this gorgeous circular card using nesties and the Christmas Ted Bauble Text stamp - she also cut off one of the wee snowflakes from a Christmas Ted stamp to randomly stamp it over her card - clever eh. :)

Katie - has made this lovely fun card using Christmas Ted - Sleding and her use of the puffy paint to create the snow is brilliant. :)

'Wall Plaque' Tutorial - recycled Pizza base by Suzi

My wall Plaque was made using a saved 10" pizza base which you will find on most supermarket bought pizzas, It would be best if it was the polystyrene type base, its lighter and easy to work with.

1. I use some light sticky tape to position the base on my mat (stop it sliding around)
Measure 5cm from centre top and draw a line across.

Do the same from the bottom, you now have two lines across the base, you can use scissors or craft knife or guillotine to cut off the excess. You are left with a nice shape to work don't throw the excess away - there are lots of things you can do with it. I use it for tags, mounting sentiments etc if I need a raised effect.

2. At this stage I've used A4 card (you can use paper if you prefer) and double sided tape to adhere the card to the base, just cut around with scissors, decorate as required, but before adding anything that is too raised turn the base over and add your ribbon for hanging.

3. Once decorated cover the back with card or paper to cover brad's ribbons etc. cut round the shape and hey presto you have your wall plaque.

Hope my little tutorial makes sense to you. I promise it's a simple project but it cost's next to nothing and looks so pretty when finished.

Enjoy Crafting

Tutorial - Altered mini wooden dart board cover.

Here is my tutorial for altering a wooden mini dartboard cover to send someone HUGS or just to cheer them up. :)  Would of course make a great Valentine's Gift etc too. :)

It is a mini tutorial if you fancy giving it a go :-

I have used this mini wooden dart board cover - but
you could use a small box or tin.
The lovely Juliet has been in contact with me and
suggested a cd case - which of course would be perfect...thank you
for your suggestion Juliet. :) :)

I used Tim Holtz alcohol ink - Pool Blue
to dab over all over the wood.

This is the effect it gave

Create the wording on the PC as shown in the picture below -
I used natural coloured card for this.
Using the Ted - Hugs stamp or digi download (from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs)
Colour as preferred.
Cut 3 pieces of ribbed card to the size you require
to cover your surfaces and adhere your image,
and wording onto 2 of them.
Cut another smaller piece to suit the size of you sentiment and adhere.

Now adhere all the elements as shown below.
I have added red heart shaped brads and
also silver mirri card punched hearts.
I also used Anita's 3D gloss to the word 'HUGS' on Ted.

That is it - now you have some 'HUGS'
you can give to someone for them to keep
and use as they need them..lol

Thanks for looking - I do hope it is an easy
to follow tutorial and would love to hear
what you think of it. :) :)

EASEL CARD TUTORIAL..:)

Our very own lovely Maxine has made a picture tutorial for an 'Easel' card - now you can follow it step by step with written and pictorial instructions. :) :)

I am sure you will find that Maxine's instructions are easy and clear to follow :)

I will surely be making  one of these - it will be my first...Thank you Maxine. :)

I have used :-

White card stock size 5" x 11" for the base of the card

White card stock size 5" x 5.5" for the front of the card

Percy Sledging Stamp - from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs
Backing papers

And embellishments.

You can make easel cards in different sizes.

1. Take your base card and fold it in half.

2. Fold one side in half again.

3. Colour your image and make the front of your card using your backing papers
and embellishments.

4. Decorate the base card, using backing papers and embellishments.

5. Add brads to your base, these will hold your card in place when it is standing up.

Now you have a gorgeous 'Easel' card. :)

We hope you have found this tutorial helpful and easy to follow. :)

Here is also a link to make up some labels to show the recipient  how to stand their card. :)

Please let us know if you use this tutorial so we can come and see your creation. :)
